To transfer a license from one server to another with License Distribution Service, you must:

  1. Find the order that needs to be upgraded (e.g., search on 11 months + activation date).

  2. Clear the user's existing generated license.

  3. Remove the customer's hostid values.

  4. Notify the user to reactivate their license.
Note that you can use the comment field to record such activities for yourself. Also, License Distribution Service generates logs whenever license activations occur.
