To support multiple FLEXlm vendor daemons on the same port number, you can specify an explicit vendor name and port in the License Statistics configuration file, under the "FLEXNet/FLEXlm servers" section, for example:
FLEXNET_SERVER = vendor1@port@server
FLEXNET_SERVER = vendor2@port@server
Due to a FlexNet/FLEXlm bug, this setting may not work in rare cases, and multiple vendor daemon output is erroneously merged into the same log. For example, the following shows an lmstat log that includes both ansyslmd and FluentLm vendors:
License server status: 1750@Justify
License file(s) on Justify: /pgm/flexlm/lic/ansys.lic:
Justify: license server UP (MASTER) v11.4
Vendor daemon status (on Justify):
ansyslmd: UP v10.8
Feature usage info:
Users of fluent: (Total of 15 licenses issued; Total of 2 licenses in
use)
"fluent" v6.326, vendor: FluentLm
floating license
This is a FlexNet/FLEXlm bug that causes inconsistency between version
10.8 and v11.4. To resolve this issue, use the same version of the tools that
come with the vendor daemon (in our example, v10.8).
