LM-X License Manager version 4.0 includes some important enhancements and several fixes. The improvements made in this release, listed below, were made in response to customer feedback. For more information about how we incorporate customer feedback into our development process, see our Knowledgebase article, "Customer-driven development."

LM-X v4.0 includes the following enhancements.

Issue #	Description
	LM-X License Manager now includes a web-based UI that gives end users an easy, efficient way to monitor and manage their LM-X license servers. This web UI lets users: View information and statistics about the LM-X license server. Restart or shut down the license server. View the LM-X server's HostIDs (unique machine values that can be used to lock a license file to a host), such as Ethernet, Hostname, IP Address, etc. View license usage statistics for the current license server, as well as for borrow, grace and trial licenses. View and edit the configuration file. (A password is required to access the configuration file.) View and search for entries in the log file.
LMX-1033	There is a new tool for resetting trial information on the end user's machine, LmxResetTrial. This tool can be distributed to end users to clean up existing trial information and allow the user to rerun the trial.
LMX-1060 LMX-1061 LMX-1045 LMX-1059	Changes to internal structure of client library and DLL,which will help speed up development and testing.
LMX-1093	Support for Mac OSX 10.7

LM-X v4.0 includes the following fixes.

LMX-1013	Uninitialized data in LMX_SERVERSIDE_REQUEST structure.
LMX-1043	Fixes to lmxconfigtool.
LMX-1052	Small memory leak in LMX_Hostid.
LMX-1054	Bug with using HOLD and BORROW at the same time.
LMX-1065	LMX_ServerFunction crashes.
LMX-1068	LMX_Putenv is missing in DLL file on AIX.
LMX-1069	Incomplete information for borrow returns in LMX_SERVERSIDE_REQUEST structure.
LMX-1075	BORROW_LIMIT_HOURS_<FEATURE_NAME> case insensitivity problem.
LMX-1079	Move notification about http server.
