License Statistics version 3.8 includes many enhancements and fixes, including a number of new features. Most of these improvements were made in response to customer feedback. For more information about how we incorporate customer feedback into our development process, see our Knowledgebase article, "Customer-driven development."

The enhancements and fixes made in this release are detailed below.

Enhancements

License Statistics v3.8 includes the following enhancements.

LICSTAT-1679	You can now receive email alerts when a license server goes down.
LICSTAT-1622 LICSTAT-1625	You can now assign aliases to servers in the Edit License Server dialog. This new feature solves a problem for cases where servers are being monitored for realtime usage and for imported denial logs. In such cases, you may see two servers in License Statistics if the denials log and the realtime server are known under different hostnames. By assigning one server as an alias of the other, License Statistics will show the server's usage information under one hostname.
LICSTAT-1642	License Server and Feature selection boxes have been moved above the tabs in the Features page.
LICSTAT-775 LICSTAT-1631	You can now save custom SQL queries.
LICSTAT-1676	The Error Log page now includes a Delete All button.
LICSTAT-1619	The "handling deadlock" errors in the log have been replaced by improved log information.
LICSTAT-1623	Updated dialogs for consistency and improved look and feel.
LICSTAT-559 LICSTAT-1764	All data in grids and charts updates automatically.
LICSTAT-1563 LICSTAT-1618	Don't show a Total in the Usage History report when the total is 0.
LICSTAT-1620	Move logprintfs to the database.
LICSTAT-1115	Support RSoft import logs.

Fixes

License Statistics v3.8 includes the following fixes.

LICSTAT-1427	A user should not be able to change his role to administrator.
LICSTAT-1637	Features that were not updated for a long period of time were not appearing in the Realtime Usage grid. Now, if the last update time of a feature exceeds 15 minutes, it is included in the grid and the update time is colored red.
LICSTAT-1646	A Verify button has been added to the LDAP configuration page.
LICSTAT-1647	The web server no longer shuts down if the license count is exceeded. Instead, License Statistics stops querying license servers and importing logs, and reports warnings in the Error Log.
LICSTAT-1654	The Date range in Advanced Filtering should not allow selecting all dates.
LICSTAT-1655	Login/Logout has been changed to Log in/Log out.
LICSTAT-1662	Problem with database update.
LICSTAT-1664	Problem with LM-X v3.4 parsing.
LICSTAT-1690	Remove procedure names from status log.
LICSTAT-1615	Fix sorting in Feature Usage History grid when grouped by Week/Month/Quarter.
LICSTAT-1634	Missing files in Linux archive.
LICSTAT-1635	Users Using Feature On More Than One Host grid not displaying all hostnames.
LICSTAT-1639	LDAP usernames should not contain dots.
LICSTAT-1640	Import of empty log files gives warning.
LICSTAT-1463	When authentication is turned off, the tab "Change Password" should be hidden.
LICSTAT-1649	Restart takes over 1 hour.
LICSTAT-1736	Duplicates in the database.
LICSTAT-1754	Sorting in the Feature Information grid in the License Servers page doesn't work properly.

LICSTAT-1702	Importing .rl log causes a crash.
LICSTAT-1703	License Statistics error "Granularity does not exist, id = month" occurs when generating Utilization History report for an entire year.
LICSTAT-1704	.rl file parse error (.bad).
LICSTAT-1738	FlexNet parser fails.
LICSTAT-1740	Incorrect error is given in log when database is down.
LICSTAT-1752	.bad files are parsed.
LICSTAT-1753	"Not able to start fast cgi server" error should not appear in database log.
