LM-X License Manager version 3.6.1 includes many fixes and several enhancements, most made in response to customer feedback. For more information about how we incorporate customer feedback into our development process, see our Knowledgebase article, "Customer-driven development."

Enhancements

LM-X v3.6.1 includes the following enhancements.

LMX-816	Improve LMX_OPT_BLACKLIST documentation.
LMX-804	Improve logging API by adding feature name.
LMX-802	Provide xmllicgen switches for backwards compatibility.
LMX-786	Automatically add resource information (e.g., version number) to Windows executables.
LMX-778	Improve error messages for nmake when building LM-X and the JAVA_HOME environment variable is not properly set.
LMX-738	Add new option for specifying minimum checkout time, MIN_CHECKOUT.
LMX-812	Specify HOLD time and incoming minimum checkout time in seconds instead of minutes.
LMX-227	Add Windows serial number as a hostid, WIN_PRODUCT_ID.

Fixes

LM-X v3.6.1 includes the following fixes.

LMX-856	Virtual adapters should be excluded from Ethernet hostids.
LMX-847	Automatic heartbeats are being invoked for borrowed licenses.
LMX-846	Recv problem on Solaris.
LMX-845	Non-blocking sockets are not working on Mac OS X.
LMX-841	Crash when starting HAL server without specifying a configuration file.
LMX-840	Segmentation violation error on Solaris.
LMX-836	When a feature is checked out for more then 24 hours a next checkout (different feature) results in a ""System clock has been set back" error.
LMX-834	For HAL configurations, if the primary server is down and an immediate unsuccessful checkout is performed, the two backup servers lose connection and error 47 occurs.
LMX-832	Problem with license server installation without a configuration file on Windows.
LMX-831	Heartbeat thread crash on FreeBSD x64.
LMX-827	Problem with heartbeats when restarting the license server in cases where multiple license servers are being used.
LMX-823	Problem with large number of licenses borrowed and not being captured properly in secure store.
LMX-815	Automatic server discovery documentation error.
LMX-814	The IsVirtualMachine function does not work properly on Hyper-V virtual machines.
LMX-800	Problem with non-default hostid match rate when no hostid lock is specified.
LMX-793	Internal error occurs in activation example.
LMX-609	Bug in configuration file parser.
