To upgrade License Statistics follow the steps below.

1. Create a backup of your existing License Statistics database and selected files.
   
   
2. Download License Statistics by logging into the X-Formation Support Portal.
   
   
3. Stop the Usage Monitor and perform a complete uninstallation of the previous version.
   
   
4. Install the new version of License Statistics.
   
   
5. Restore your data as described in "Importing data from License Statistics version 3.5 and above".
   
   
6. Configure the software and obtain a license.
   
   
7. Start the Usage Monitor. Test that it is running normally by inspecting the log file (xflicstat.log).
   
   
8. Open the License Statistics dashboard in a web browser in order to start using the software.
