To set up License Saver, perform the following steps:

1. Use License Saver Installer. You may run License Saver in trial mode right after the installation. When purchased License Saver please continue with further steps.
   
   
2. Get the License Saver license (xflicsaver.lic) from the Support Portal. This is a floating license, and is needed for the next step.
   
   
3. Set up the LM-X license server (..\license\lmx-serv-x-formation.exe) to serve the licenses for License Saver. (See the LM-X End Users Guide for information about setting up the LM-X license server.)
   
   
4. If you plan to use License Saver with CATIA licenses please configure CATIA as described in the knowledgebase article "Releasing CATIA licenses with License Saver".
   
   
5. Run License Saver on the client computer and add your applications to the watched applications list, as described in the License Saver Manual.
