To upgrade to License Statistics v3.0:

1. To keep existing statistics and your site-specific configuration, copy the following items to a temporary directory:
   

• The database files in the db directory
  
  
• Your configuration file, xflicstat.cfg
  
  
• Any 3rd-party applications you have used; for example, lmutil.exe, lsmon.exe, i4blt.exe, lmxendutil.exe, etc.
  
  
Note: If you are currently using License Statistics v2.x, do not copy existing .html files. They will not be used in the new version.

2. Download and install the new release by logging into your X-Formation Support Portal and following the instructions there and in your product download email. For complete installation instructions, including activating your license, see the article Installing License Statistics on Windows with a FLEXlm/FLEXNet Server or Installing License Statistics on Unix with a FLEXlm/FLEXNet Server.
   
   
3. After installing License Statistics, move the files you copied in Step 1 to the new distribution. Important: Do not replace the new configuration file with your old one. Instead, copy your site-specific information (for example, server information lines) into the existing configuration file.
   
   
4. Check the log file to ensure that port 80, the default port used for the Usage Monitor web server, is appropriate for your site. If needed, specify a different port in the configuration file by changing the line WEBSERVER_PORT.
