Yes, you can activate your License Statistics license from a machine other that the one where you're installing License Statistics.
Following the instructions in "Activating a License Statistics license," replace the ethernet hostid with the hostid of the License Statistics server. If you're using the LM-X Configuration Tool in Windows, this is done in the Ethernet Hostid field. If you're using the LM-X End-user command-line utility, this is done using the optional parameter "-hostid ETHERNET=<value>."
